Four Action Priorities to Implement ENGIE’s Ethical Code of Conduct

1. Commitment at All Levels

Ethical commitment and exemplary behavior at ENGIE concern all employees, without exception. Directors and managers play a key role through their own conduct and by ensuring their teams respect ENGIE’s ethical code of conduct.

2. Inform, Train, and Prevent

To combat corruption, all employees—especially those most exposed to risk—must be made aware of and trained in the global “duty of vigilance” policy (third-party knowledge and assessment) to prevent unethical situations.

The hiring of any sales consultant, service provider, or supplier is strictly regulated and must be verified in advance.

3. Report and Receive Support

Any employee facing an unethical situation should not remain isolated and must report it to their management. If it’s not possible to contact management or the entity’s Ethics & Compliance Officer, the Group provides a whistleblowing system.

4. Apply Disciplinary Measures

The zero-tolerance policy requires that any violation of the principles in our ethical code of conduct be subject to disciplinary action. These measures will be applied by the manager or the entity of the employee involved.

All acts of corruption will be punished with dismissal.

Why?

As part of the Group’s ongoing commitment to strengthen its ethical standards and provide accessible tools for reporting inappropriate situations or non-compliance with our principles, laws, or regulations, ENGIE offers a whistleblowing system for its employees and all stakeholders (suppliers, subcontractors, unions, communities, NGOs, etc.) who are victims or witnesses of an incident.

What?

This system complements existing channels and reinforces the Group’s Ethics, Compliance, and Privacy approach. It provides anyone with a simple, confidential, and anonymous way to report wrongdoing.

Reports must be made in good faith, without malicious intent, and concern serious incidents of which the whistleblower has personal knowledge.

How does it work?

By phone:
Reports can be made anonymously or not, via a toll-free or paid phone line to an external service provider.
Languages supported: French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
For other languages, email is recommended.
A case number is provided for tracking.
The report is forwarded anonymously to ENGIE’s internal teams for processing.

By email:
Reports should preferably be written in English, French, Spanish, or Portuguese.
Messages in other languages may be translated.
