Renewables and Flexible Production

Together we secure the future

The ENGIE Renewables and Flexible Production area bases its activity on electricity generation through the exploration of a diversified portfolio of assets with different energy sources.

In addition to its stake in the Douro hydroelectric dams with an installed capacity of 102 GW, ENGIE currently holds 100% of the assets corresponding to the Terras Altas Fafe, Mourisca, Nave, Serra do Ralo and Lomba wind farms. The five wind farms together have a total installed capacity of 303 MW.

The integration of this portfolio represents an important step in ENGIE’s growth and national consolidation as a leading global brand in the energy transition. We are proud to contribute to the 906GW of installed wind power worldwide and to be part of the 7% of global wind energy production.

In the area of flexible production, ENGIE, with a 50% stake, owns the Pego Combined Cycle Plant, which, with an installed capacity of 836 MW, produces electricity using natural gas.

Thus, together with our entire renewable energy portfolio: hydro, wind and offshore, this asset allows ENGIE, whenever necessary, to be able to produce electricity 24/7, thus revealing a balanced and diversified energy mix in the production of renewable and flexible energy, important for the country’s energy stability and a strong contribution to the established environmental goals.
