Energy for the future
Wind Onshore
ENGIE now holds 100% of the assets corresponding to the wind farms of Fafe, Mourisca, Nave, Ralo, and Lomba. The total installed capacity of these five wind farms is 303MW.
The integration of this portfolio, currently in certification process, emerged during the strategic split of TrustEnergy, announced in August 2024, and represented an important step in ENGIE’s growth and national consolidation as a world-leading brand in the Net Zero Carbon energy transition.
TrustEnergy was a joint venture between ENGIE (50%) and Marubeni (50%), with a strong presence in the energy sector in Portugal. The split was designed to boost focus and accelerate growth for both shareholders. With this split, both companies sought to concentrate on their core competencies, enhancing operational efficiency and providing greater value to their stakeholders by better aligning with the dynamics of the Portuguese energy market and increasing operational efficiency.
In addition to managing these assets with proven reliability and performance, ENGIE also has other hybridization projects with solar to continue producing electricity safely and efficiently, with respect for the environment and at a competitive price.
